Health & Safety Management System

General agreement that matters relating to the operation of the Health and Safety is not an area for the Policy Committee. We were requested to focus on the legal implications of RTP Companies being required under our Contract for Funding to implement the H&SMS.

Policy Committee

James gave a presentation of the current issues that may impact on the RTP and work of the Policy Committee.
Working Group will revisit the following to inform further debate and future work

  • Principles of the RTP
  • Fitzpatrick’s Report
  • Development work carried out by previous Policy Consultation Committee Guidelines for the 3 year RTP Strategic Plans 2008 – 2010
  • Value for Money report – when available
  • LITS report – when available

Next tasks

  • Look at what the RTP should look like in the next Strategic Plan
  • List relevant policies to develop/update eg: Free Travel, Carbon Tax
  • Clarify terms and identify models eg. Integrated Transport, Public Service Obligation contracts (PSO)
  • Document structure of existing models to increase general understanding eg: School transport
  • Guidelines for the prioritisation of services
